Early Life

Ashlie Amber is an American country singer born in Thornton, Colorado. Amber (as well as her brother) is the youngest of four children in her family. She started her road in music very early, at six.

She started playing music for fun, not being committed to a type of music, just for entertainment. Shortly after, she suffered from losing her father, which propelled her musical journey to new heights.

From the loss of Amber’s father, she and her family suffered anguish and misery. The way Amber was able to lead herself out of that misery was through music. She used music as therapy to keep herself strong during a hard time of losing her father and to manifest her true purpose in life, music.

In middle and high school, she started taking singing and art in general seriously.Amber performed in numerous talent shows, in a choir, in theatre, and live events. She was very active and eager to build her talent.

She did this throughout her middle school and high school career. Once she graduated, she decided to begin a music career.

Career

Amber became part of the esteemed Actors’ Equity Association, which led to her singing and performing across the globe. In 2012, she landed TV airtime on the 2012 Season of American Idol.

She was nominated for numerous Henry Awards and played roles in musicals like The Color Purple, RENT, Pippin, and AvenueQ.

With exceptional skills in singing, Ashlie Amber was seen and welcome to advance at her independent material.

She worked with Grammy and Emmy victor, Jamie Tate, to make her first collection in the country genre. Ashlie Amber's hard work allowed her to be one of the first Black Female Country Stars to have top forty success and beyond. It will set the scene for another age of music, receptive reasoning, and another point of view toward music today.
